Did you know that 90% of the world lives in the wrong cash flow quadrant? That’s right. The majority of the world lives in the “rat race” quadrant, where you live hand-to-mouth and can never retire. Are you ready to get out now? Then you need to find out about cash flow quadrants!
Popularized by Robert Kiyosaki, best-selling author of Rich Dad Poor Dad, the Cash Flow Quadrants describe the four ways people earn money in this economy. These are the two quadrants where most people live:
EMPLOYEE:
Work for someone else. Trade time for money. Value job security and good benefits. Limited income potential. Not enough income or no time to enjoy money. If you ever stop working, so does your money!
SELF EMPLOYED:
Work for yourself (doctors, lawyers, plumbers, consultants). Value freedom, hands-on approach and independence. Often the lowest-paid people. No time to enjoy money. 95% of businesses fail within a few years.
If you’re an employee or self-employed, you’re in the rat race. You get up every morning to the daily grind. Your income is limited by the number of hours you work, and you probably have no time to enjoy your money. If you ever stop working, your money stops coming. THERE IS ANOTHER WAY.
The truly wealthy live in the other two quadrants:
BUSINESS OWNER:
Do not have to work in their business. Get paid whether they work or not. Build assets, not income. Have both time and money.
INVESTOR:
Invest in assets. Can choose whether to work. Have both time and money. Requires a lot of money to get started.
